Terms of use

Using Flamezam means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

Flamezam is operated by Powerzam Studio, a small development team based in Denmark. These terms are governed by Danish law, which is set out at the end.

You need to be at least 13 to create an account. Anyone can download without one.

One account per person. Do not create an account to evade a suspension — that is its own reason for a permanent ban.

Keep your password to yourself and your email address current, since it is the only way to recover the account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Tell us at contact@flamezam.com if you think someone else has access, and change your password — doing so signs out every other device.

You must have the right to publish what you upload. Your own work, or work you have permission to distribute. Re-uploading someone else’s map without their permission is the single fastest way to lose an account here, and it is the thing this site exists partly to be better about.

You keep ownership of your maps. Uploading does not transfer anything to us. What you give us is permission to do the things hosting a map requires: store it, show it, generate previews from your screenshots, and distribute it to people who download it. That permission lasts as long as the map is on the site, and it exists so we can run the site — not so we can sell your work.

Take a map down and that permission ends, other than for copies already downloaded, which we cannot recall, and for backups that age out on their normal schedule.

What you may and may not publish is set out in the content guidelines, which are part of these terms.

Every upload is inspected before it can be downloaded by anyone. Nothing publishes until it passes, and this has no off switch — it applies to every map, from every account, at every stage of the site’s life.

This is a structural check on what an archive contains, not a guarantee. Download files from people you do not know with the same care you would anywhere else.

We can, and will:

• refuse a map that fails our checks or breaks the guidelines;
• archive a map — it leaves browsing and search, and its page, comments and ratings stay readable to anyone with the link;
• remove a map entirely, for a copyright claim, malicious content, or a serious breach of the guidelines;
• hide a comment or review, or suspend or ban an account.

Creators cannot archive or delete their own published maps, and there is no button that asks us to. That is deliberate: a map that other people have downloaded and are building on should not vanish on an impulse. If you genuinely need one taken down, email contact@flamezam.com and a person will do it.

Every one of these actions is recorded with who did it and when. If you think we got one wrong, reply to the notice or write to contact@flamezam.com and we will look again.

Do not:

• upload anything designed to harm the people who download it;
• attempt to break, overload, or find your way around the site’s security;
• scrape the site or automate downloads;
• harass anyone, in comments, reviews, or reports;
• file reports or copyright claims you know to be false — a claim is work for a real person, and a bad-faith one takes moderation away from a real problem.

Some commitments are permanent, and hold even if advertising is ever introduced:

• no pop-ups;
• no video ads;
• no countdown timers or interstitial pages before a download;
• no fake download buttons;
• never anything placed between you and the real download link.

Downloads are free, and will stay free. No paywalls, no premium tier, no download queues.

Beyond that: the site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, that a map will always be here, or that a file will do what its description claims. We are not liable for what a downloaded file does to your game or your world — back up your saves.

Where the law allows us to limit our liability, we do. Where it does not — and in particular for anything we cannot lawfully exclude — nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer.

You can delete your account at any time from your settings. What happens to your content afterwards is set out in the privacy policy.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. For anything short of malware, stolen content, or targeting a person, expect a warning first.

Flamezam is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Mojang Studios or Microsoft. Minecraft is their trademark. Maps hosted here are made by the community, and using them is subject to Mojang’s own terms as well as these.

These terms may change. If a change materially affects you, we will say so on the site rather than quietly editing the page.

These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, and disputes are heard by its courts. This does not remove any protection you have under the law of the country you live in.
